Description

This is an example of the kind of forests that can be done with MojoTree 3.1: about 340'000 trees, made of 3 tree models of various level of details. The tree models (Copyright Artistken) are automatically selected acording to their apparent size and are replaced by surface material for the background. Note the brown area in the reflection on the "Guardian": It is a part of the forest that is located behind the camera. In this case, trees are not created to avoid wasting memory and rendering time. I must confess that this example is a bit extreme. It used more than 1.5 GB of memory during rendering. Some tiles failed to render on the PC and required rendering them on the Mac which let applications use more memory than Windows. The original 1600 x 1200 pixels render is available here: http://www.silicon-peace.com/~mojoworld/images/for_forums/ForestAndGuardian.jpg Thanks to all the testers and the Pandromeda staff for their help during development. Have fun With MojoTree 3.1! Bernard
