Description

Hello all ! The other day I drove the kids to thier new school and had my cam I got for my bday with me. I felt adventurous and so drove and drove .Then, turned up and old road I had never seen before. I got lost and ended up at this old farm. They were selling Pumpkins and sunflowers, but shut down because it was raining. I had my umbrella and asked it I could take some pictures of the sunflowers as I love them the old farmers said " sure honey, now- just don

How cool is this? I just love it! It is very unique, and I think you did an excellent job on this. I like the way the sunflowers are bowing down, they kinda look like they are paying homage to this old truck! What a find! 8-)

What a picture, I saw this the other day but did not leave a comment. I am glad to have been drawn back to it. Your guess that this seems to be a "1929 Ford" seems to be pretty close. I owned a 1932 Ford model B, pickup truck, it looked just like this. (no, I am not that old, it was an antique when I owned it) 1932 was the first year that they came up with a "fuel pump". Prior to this, the fuel tank was located in the dashboard, and the filler cap was located top center in front of the windshield. This gravity feed system was fine until you had to climb a steep hill, where you would virtually run out of gas halfway up. (You could, however, drive up the hill backwards to fix this problem). In 1932, when the fuel pump went in, the gas tank was put under the seat. (Great picture!)-Randy
