Composition, Lighting, Mood and the posing/attitude of the elephant are all very well done. That alone makes it worthy of including in any 'Best of' or 'Hot whatever' list. But a picture that can also evoke emotion and pathos, even in an old grizzled viewer like me, takes it out of the simply 'great' or 'excellent' catagory and raises it to a level aspired to by many, but achieved by oh so few...

I am in tears. I have seen documentaries on this and it breaks my heart. You have done a wonderful job portraying what these poor animals go through. PETA is doing a good job I think trying to stop this. And when animals attack people at the circus, is it no wonder? Your lighting is superb.

I think I need a new monitor for my PC. I looked at this last night (and liked it) and now today I am seeing it on my Mac at work. The details are much clearer here (the spider was quite hard to make out on my PC). Once again... Incredible scene!
