Description
The agony,
the pain
Wrenches through my arm
As the red line of hell
Creeps upwards
Towards my heart.
My fingers look like
Fat swollen maggots
Wriggling
Trying to find a comfortable position
In which to ease the torment
A simple plant
Was all it took
Buried its bristled hairs
Into the base of my finger
In not so subtle defense
When I tried to yank it
from its soft warm soil
Throbbing aches
knock,
enter,
each joint of my arm
No oils or creams soothe septic sores
No pain pills persuade
the headache to leave
There goes my budget
Along with my sanity
As off to the Doctor
I go.
