I was yesterday at St Martems Latem (near Ghent) for to hike with my friend Francine and by chance we took photographs of a work of Folon which is in the street on the pavement... while returning home my husband told me he died... Official site officiel FOLON here

coincidences do not exists, there's a meaning in every action... your beautiful photo proves it! mon jeunesse is full of Folon's color and humor; he shared the precious gift of an always original point of view, together with a high unique tecnique - that's why we call him Artist. (thanks for the link to Folon site =)

Many years ago I saw a UK TV program where Monsieur Folon was teaching children in art and poetry. I must have been impressed because I noted down his name and even tried to write down some of the poetry he inspired the children to write. Just magical. Thank you dear Mary for this hommage...
