Howdy partners!!! (sit tight...you shall now witness the shortest of rambles...due to the fact that i might have had a beer too many and are now quite tired...sigh...might not even have the "stamina" to use HTML.) Not something spectacular or anything about this shot, i just loved how perfect Mr. Butty

That's so funny...I have shots of a swallowtail butterfly at a butterfly house and he was hanging out on the gravel just like that.Stayed there most of the time,in fact.Maybe its the warmth or something. What do I know?LOL...Anyway he's beautiful,Andreas. The shadow looks great. You know...he's a bit furrrrrrry, lol!Did you have to use a mega-telephoto for this???Have a great weekend,my friend.(Got the song btw...LMAO!)-M :)

He heh - cute title! He's very colorful like a butterfly, but also looks kinda moth-like. Is there a way to tell the difference?? Anyway, great image!

What fabulous colours! Never ever seen this species of butty before! Well captured macro. The shadow gives it a three dimensional effect like a drop shadow. Excellent photograph. Have a super weekend.
