Description

This photo rather is proof of the capacities of my camera than a very beautiful picture. I took the picture last week when I visited the Hoge Veluwe (Dutch nature preservation area). About 200 deer live there, but they never show up during day time. So, although daylight was fading away and the distance between me and the deer was at least 300 meters (about 1000 feet) and despite the fact that I had to push the camera to all it's limits, it was able to produce this. And I know.. it will never be the most beautiful RR pic, but I am proud I have been able to take this kind of picture cause I've never been. BTW: wildlife in Holland is rather scarce so that makes it more interesting to take pictures of it. Perhaps I should relocate to Canada, the US or .. perhaps any country in the world.. to see much more of this.

Wow, a great find of this single male deer surrounded by female deer! You captured it very well, unfortunately it's hard to shoot them as you say and this is certainly a shot to be proud of! I would have considered to crop it a bit, removing a part of the heather thus putting the deer off-center but that's just me of course. Excellent work, Oskar!

De foto mag dan niet haarscherp zijn, maar het wild is er heel goed op te zien. Voor mij mag deze foto blijven!

Wow! I guess you did see a deer or two,or three, etc. Usually never get to see a buck, except during mating season. My computer was out of commission ( graphics card had to be replaced) so I'm a bit behind in my viewing and comments. Great capture.
