Description

Francis Scott Key Bridge at the entrance to Balmer Harbor. The bridge is at about the location of the bombarding British Fleet (an 1812 thing). Fort McHenry is just out of the frame to the right. Both were out of gun range of each other. This is why there were rockets and bombs that night and no mention of cannon. Having learned from that experience, the 'Merkins decided to beef up harbor defenses: Fort Carroll is just 'under' the bride and Fort Armistead is the bit of land jutting out from the rightmost tree. Time to move on. Enjoy; thanks for viewing. Oh, the bridge is being repainted... that's what the huge tarpaulin is all about. We'll see more of that later.
