Description

THIS one was DIFFICULT to render. (Nice introduction, isn't it?) If you should ever have to render any picture with that fantasy coach, *DON'T* set the material of the glass parts to *anything* having to do with reflection *and* transparency. The image took *ten days* to render with settings like this in Bryce. Well, but I had to do it *five times* before I could start the "ten-day-final-rendering" as my computer always crashed before at 50-60%. Yes, it was rendered in Bryce, but as most of the objects with focus on it were made in Poser, I decided to post it here. I have *tried* to render it in Poser, but the glass coach looked very ugly there, and I had far less possibilities to play with the textures and materials, so I have given it a try in Bryce... here is the result. All textures and materials by me. And I hope I will forget no one when I amn writing down the following credits: Cinderellas Gown by Shali, in the freestuff (combined there with a figure, but I used my own). Fantasy coach from Lannies' 3D-Modelworld. Vines also from that place. Prince's and cape are the Daniel Blackpool clothes by Bloodsong, as well as the horses' harnesses. Bridle by Jackie (?). Warhorses by Robert Sharkey. Chandeliers by me :-) Hope this was it? I would be very sorry if I should have forgotten anyone. Hope you like it... ah, there's almost no postwork on this image, except of the drapery on Cinderellas dress and the stars around the glass slipper. I love it when image come out like that after rendering... even if this took *ages* grrr. Wish I could post it even *bigger* (the original rendered picture is 2000x1500 pixels to be able to print it) - there is so much detail in this picture, I love it :-) Have fun, Sincerely, Sabine

Wow...what a monster project. Wonderful scene construction and texturing. I'd say this was definitely worth the effort. A very enthusiastic "10" from me!

This is most remarkable in almost every aspect, not the least of which is THE HORSES AND COACH ACTUALLY SEEM TO BE STANDING ON THE GROUND!!! Not "almost floating and not quite standing" as in many images. This is very beautiful work and I thank you for taking the 10 days to show it.

A beautiful image. With your eye for detail and complexity, you should expect many more multi-day renders in your future!

dude youll never get back the 10 days of your life that you spent rendering this thing :) im willing to bet that if you had tweaked the settings you could have rendered it in a fraction of the time - a lot of bryce folk use high settings that have little or no effect on the final render yet crank the rendering time up astronomically. nevertheless, its a fine image.
