Description

Somebody said I ought to include contrails when I show high flying Forts. OK, so here they are. The FW 190 D (Dora) has received very little coverage, so I thought, why not show this devastating machine doing what it did best? Bryce 5.5, postwork in CS2 as usual. Thanks for all your comments. I do listen and I am not afraid to learn from you all. Cheers. Rat.

Man I absolutely love these air pics you do, I spent years looking at all my grandads photo's of WWII planes, he was an RAF pilot, I am getting a copy of Bryce, as I use to used Bryce 3d.. looking at what you do it looks like 5.5 is way better, but where do you get your models? Jim

Oh, I do love the POV on this and the clouds background is perfect! Nice to see the contrails too. Most excellent!

Great pic! One small thing. The Dora would only very rarely be carrying a drop tank. By that stage the war the Germans didn't have to fly far to find a fight :). The drop tank would make it less manueverable and more vulnerable to enemy fire should they get bounced unexpectedly.

Great pic. Like the way you integrated the sky in it.

Great Picture. The contrails should be thicker though, and the FW 190 's center line should be a little more forward and bigger. Ominous sky..Excellent

Nice image but would of liked to see the foreground aircraft larger to make the image more powerful and the lighting less flashgun like as it doesn't ring true compared to the overall lighting of the background, IMHO Also is that how we see a rotating propeller? 3DA
