Description

Todays collage is from the Balloon Fest in Taos, New Mexico. This was my first balloon fest and it was awesome. When I arrived in Taos, I wanted to find the field that the balloons would take off from. After driving around a bit I decided to go to the hotel where I was staying and ask for the location. As it turned out, the Balloon fest was being held directly out back from the hotel. Was I lucky or what. The next Morning, got up walked out the door to the field and shot the most amazing sight. these mamoth balloons were going up all over the place. You have to be there to experience the atmosphere of the place..These photos don't do it any justice. By the way, there was no photomaniping on Saturdays pic.Click here to see. The balloons and the moon were as you saw them. The first pic shows the filling of the balloon with hot air. Those people were only about two feet from the flame. I was about 15 feet from it and felt the heat. The second was this neat balloon. As it was blowing up, it looked like it was going to attack the other balloons. Third pic is a sky full of balloons. The last pic is me and my fairy loving wife ..LOL ENJOY TODAY

Nice set Ray, whose the fae your hugging, huh? The upper left image is awewome, never saw one so dynamic from pictures like this - if you photoshop out that butt & attached person in red (but not yellow one) this'd be a sa'premo comp. Rock on you lucky dude!

Nice to sharing these shots with us Ray ! It's a real pleasure to see all your shots of the Balloons, but as you say, no shot could give us the emotion and the joy to be there, in the middle of that color festival ! It must be a fantastic experience. I imagine if I was there... as a little girl who discover that for the first time, with my eyes so opened to miss nothing ! Lol ! A great collage and I'm very happy to see this so tender shot with you fairy wife ;o)))) You are both beautiful ! Love is all we need..... Have a good day Ray ! Hugs.

Looks like you had a good time and that you weren't alone in that feeling. Looks like Mrs. Ray was having a good time also. Nothing like a weekend hotel stay with the one you love and really big balloons everywhere, lol.

Wow, what a view they must have. My niece went for a baloon ride in Australia. She was "blown away" by the trip. Glad you had so much fun. It is something you just have to see in person. Aloha great collage.
