I like the composition and the lighting (what is that shadow around the corner ....) but I think the texture on the wall could (should) be better.

THere's a story lurking around the corner... Great work, challenging the imagination to find the tale behind it.. Fantastic!

I agree with loenen. There's too much of a single texture here. At least change up the coloring a little, or change the size... Dunno. Needs a little tinkering. That said, I love the shadow cast by the lantern and whatever lurks behind the corner. I wish they were a little more prominent though... What if you had a smaller ambient value for your textures? That would give the light (and therefore the shadows) much more potency in the picture. The lantern light is splendid. I think just a little tinkering would make this image A+ material.

Good critique! Nothing to add, but I love where you are going! The POV and lighting/shadows is very mysterious!! Great stuff!!

I don't know about the wall textures but this makes for a subtle mystery scene. (Actually, it'll be great for an adventure game level). I don't find any thing wrong here save maybe the reflective material of the cup on the floor- a bit too much,it's almost transparent. Maybe what they mean Cynth about the wall textures could be the smooth edges... A tip? try increasing the bump to simulate a rough edge. Aside from that? You're still my BEST FEMALE DIGITAL ARTIST. How's the Family?

What lurks around the corner is only anyones guess. The reason why I think the walls are a bit blurry is due to the viewer having to much wine for he/she as droped they goblet.lol...Excellent work!!!...:))
