Description

I found this to be very interesting. I don't know what this Heron thought about that tree stump, but it was screaming and as you can tell he/she was mad. Comments Welcome!

I try and try and just do not get the Great Blue Heron except to see with these eyes as it slowly flies away. This is a wonderful capture and well-done. The only suggestion I offer is this: On my pc the image appears a bit over sharpened. Edges are almost too crisp. I would do less well, by the way.

LOL!! Agree with nongo; competition for food!! Or a potential enemy. Very funny capture.

What a capture!! Those wings are so making a statement as well as his beak. Unique. Maybe he hit his foot landing and that would be nasty.

i agree with pm_hackworth, looks like he thought it was an alligator - look at the shape of it -but if he thought that then he was a very gutsy, determined bird not to fly away v fast !

Maybe his little bird brain mistook this as a predator, an alligator or something? Great picture that tells a story, lots of action.
