Description
Hello, this is a job I am about to finish for a client, just thought I would post and share. Image was rendered in F-Prime with monte carlo radiosity (2 bounce), there is an occlusion layer and a shadow layer as well. DOF was created with DOF Pro. The GI render took about six hours. The full image was rendered at 3K with medium antialiasing. All comments and crits are gratefully recieved.

This is beautifully done buddy. I know some might say it needs to be grimed up, but when clients are involved, it's more about the product than reality, so you sure have my vote.

looks good..but i think you need to pump up the yellow! seems a bit washed out....maybe just me

This is great modeling, and I quite like the soft look on it. I do agree with petes, the color balance could need some adjustment, but then again it's just what you're looking for in an image. Excellent work!

very nice work. I like the work with the shingles and all the textures, really. The doors are very detailed, and the gardens are fun to look at. I have a whole new apprectiation for this sort of work lately.

Yea, it
s a great piece of work, both work and talent... I like the misty look, it is usually used to create fabulous atmosphere, but here it makes the picture a little bit grim... Did your client want it? There
s one thing in this image Im not happy about-the flats are empty. I
d expect to see anything inside in such a shoot, not just Fresnel glass. :)Moebius87
Very pretty work! I like the soft focus effect here, gives it a dreamy quality. But I do agree with petes input... the colors look a bit gloomy and overcast. A bit more happy sunshine couldn't hurt, right? Just a suggestion. :o)

I think the DOF kinda killed the image... DOF in post is just not right. DOF has to be totally correct - else it just looks like some blurry mess. And since its for a client id make sure the darkest parts arent too dark - leave some detail in the shadow-parts for the client to see. In a real sunlit street, nothing is totally black. Maybe the sunlight could be brighter, give it a warm mood with it... so you know the bricks are warm to the touch - hehe.. Looks good anyway, just add some warmth. Good luck.
