Nothing is lost and much is gained. The look is of Duo-glide, Hydra-glide and Electra-glide with overtones of way back in the bags but the master cylinder on the handlbar bringing it into more recent times. Crashbars and no windshield is a special type. The overall character washes out any middling details.
