i honestly feel that this is a great photo with an excellent focus and an almost dark DOF. :O))
PeeWee05
Cool detail on the leave, but you title suggests you wanted the bug in focus, rememeber to double check before you snap ;-)

Exactly the kind of macros I'll try to make, now, with my new cam... Bravo, this is gorgeous!

I think youre selling yourself way toooooo short on this one. I think the DOF is brilliant!!! So is the light. A very beautiful macro indeed! Have a great day. #:O)

Fantastic! Your focus looks fine to me! (but if that Nikon is a D100, it'll never focus as sharp as other cameras)

Fantastic light!

don't usually.......but read comments above....all noteworthy in excellent, very technical, assessment, advice, etc........B U T, the playful JOY, the chance to "shake-hands" with such tiny creatures.....this one appears to be smiling & showing teeth.....I'm NOT a camera techie.....but know what I like.....and your pix of these "little guys" are marvelous and FUN!
gizmo563
excellent macro, and a cute capture
redchilicat
I think it is an awesome shot
Lledeline
Awesome macro.

superbe macro!

Oh yes, keep them blurry as here... :) Kidding. It is sharp but DOF is shallow. Larger apertures cause shallow DOF's and... a wide wide lens too. Excellent macro work, very impressive!

Very beautiful shot Love the background as well.

Anthony, I for one, love the blurry effect. The little bather is very sharp and clear. The blurriness, (is that a word), magnifies the crispness and clarity of the little guy on the leaf! Leanndra

You are absolutely righ Leanndra. On the other hand the 'blurry' (if to call that one blurry too) isn't a drawback. Do you need any background here? The pic is magestic, believe me!

Fantastic macro - not only technically perfect, but very artistic!

Magnificent portraiture. Never know that these tiny creatures look that way.

Like it very much despite blurry parts. They make it more impressive and beautiful!
