Actually this is a Black-and-yellow Garden Spider - Argiope aurantia. These spiders are basically harmless, unlike The Black Widow, a black spider with a red hourglass shape on the underside of its abdomen. Black Widows are poisonous, this beastie is not; although, due to their size, Argiopes can be a bit intimidating. Nice shots.

Good captures! :) The younger black widow has a spiral on her butt. Like Dwarvenkind, these are garden type spiders. They are not very agressive.

Great to spot spiders like these, it's a joy to observe them doing what they're created for!
