Description

I never liked my old version of the 'spaceport' - it seemed too plain and too dull, so here is the new, improved and final version. I hope someone out there likes it even though it doesn't look much like what today's art is supposed to look like.

Tremendous - but the lights in the tower don't quite do justice to the rest of it

The tower is a 20,000 room hotel and those lights are windows.

The new lighting and atmosphere makes it more vibrant. The sense of scale seems stronger too.

I think I can find many a digital artist that'll disagree with u there Max!! McDod mentioned the scale- you've got that spot on. The sense of being in a place full of large heavy powerful vehicles is excellent - I can almost hear the sound of engines spooling up!

You've really captured a compelling sense of enormity here. The scale is vast. The lighting really sets the mood. The models are terrific as well. Nicely done.

Has that 'future retro' look about it -- that's cool -- puts this in the same class as works by Bonestell and Di Fate! Take a look at the design of Scale Composite's 'SpaceShipOne': retro may indeed BE our future.
