Description

I was working on the simple shapes contest and decided to play around a bit with this lighting set up. I desaturated this image some to give it the faded look. That could be a positive or negative thing. Comments welcome.

Very nice effect, it looks like an older photo that lost some of its color to sunlight maybe. Those flowers have such beautiful colors, though, I wonder what this pic looked like originally?

You are the artist, not us. We'd look at it differently. I don't like to analyze things too much. The fading sets a mood, and contributes to the overall feeling of wistfulness. If that is what you were trying to get across, you were successful. I particularly like the contrast between the sharp focus on the hands, and the soft focus on the flowers, and the playful light in the foreground. One could imagine deep meaning here, but bottom line is that you are using your tools to communicate an emotion. Even the soft framing contributed to this.

Nice!!, does the illumination produce interesting effects, especially those shades that cross sonbre the table, the bars of a window are?, do I find a very good experience.

Thanks :) This lighting was actually very easy. I toyed around with the blinds on the sliding glass door until I got them the way that I wanted them and let the light filter in naturally. The white table here really needs the credit for the way the light looks.
