the size of this bee talks for it's self. He was nervous about my camera and kept flying each time I approached him/her thanks for my post yesterday and today's visit and comments

Great capture!! Most bees will leave you alone as long as you don't bother them. They are facinating to watch on flowers gathering the pollen. Very clear pic, Richard!!!

I know these flying machines, they are very large and very impressive. I tried to photograph some of them, but for my macro zoom, it is necessary to approach very close then finally I did not have courage. Sorry for my bad English ;) Excellent image !

Yikes. What kind of bee is this ? A black wasp ? Hope it isnt a killer bee !!! We now have killer bees in Santa Fe. Eeeeeeeeek. Of course, I have no idea what they look like. Excellent Image. Glad you didnt get stung !!!
