Description
These are not very artistic however I am trying to show some of the damage caused by hurricane Katrina. The damage extends for 26 miles and approximately one half mile wide from the beach to the CSX railroad tracks. However where the surge was 36 feet the damage extends inland much farther a mile or more. In this area almost nothing is left standing. In the city of Biloxi in an area called the point which is surrounded by water on three sides there is absolutely nothing left, people are still living in tents approximately 8 weeks after the hurricane. And of course the basic services water or electricity and food are none exist. There are some FEMA trailers set up around the area they say a bout 800 total we need closer to 8000 maybe more will come who knows
