Excellent repost...one thing look at the candle on the right now look at the shadow that is projecting upwards when it should be underneath the shelf...sooo that tells me there is another light source in the room and one close to the floor so why not put in a fireplace or a roaring cauldron on the right to show the light source...keep going and you will have this down pat...its all in the mind and how you make the program work for you and not against you...Always read all the tutorials that you can here,Brycetech,3D cafe,3D commune,3D links, and always read 3D studio Max tutorials for the simple fact is that it is just like Bryce in a general sense...what they tell you to do in max you have to do it step by step now in Bryce most of that is already done for you(textures, mountains, trees, ect)so I read tuts on max then apply it by doing it in Bryce you would be amazed at how easy it is once you really read and do all the tuts you can....sorry about the long winded speech but thought I should share my thoughts...your good and soon you will get better with each post... just watch

it all looks good. your candles are kinda dim tho, try a gradiant color for your lights, make the outside of the color u choose the same as ur world ambient, then u can crank up the amount of light without washing out the whole scene, if that makes any sense to you, dont know if i explained it good enough:P anyhow, i did alot of post work for that lightning-bolt, i use ps6 or corel photo-paint9 for my post stuff.
