Description

ABOUT THE TITLE: I've seen numerous shots of dragonflies here on RR (some of them are masterpieces imho), so I decided to give it a try also (thinking: 'when everybody does, why shouldn't I') ABOUT THE PHOTO: I experienced that taking shots of dragonflies isn't easy at all. Everytime when you're ready to push the button the damn dragonflies sent me their regards and took off (leaving me frustrated). But: they didn't know I am a tough guy (at least in keep trying....). So during the last weeks I took several shots of dragonflies with which I'm pretty satisfied. Due to the outstanding quality of some pictures of others here on RR I wasn't brave enough to post... In the end I thought: 'Who cares, just do it' (no this is no commercial). I'm pretty satisfied with the light on this one, but maybe I'm the only one. ... Anyway, enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!!

Focus is spot on! Lightning is fantastic too. Something like this with a low POV from the frontside will rock too i think! ~Uwe

I thought just like you...why shouldnt i also post a dragonfly...only problem for me is that i have never come closer than 10 feet from one before it took off...sigh. This is really beautiful. The clarity is oustanding. Why did you ever doubt the quality??? I like your presentation as well, very original. Have a great weekend. #:O)
