The lighting needs work--it's way off. Things should be illuminated by the glowing planet on the right, meaning the there would be bright, orange highlights on the figure and the rocks, etc. The guy needs a bump map and some postwork on the hair. The planet texture needs work. Why is there a big blur on the fur? Decent attempt.

I love your use of lighting, I like the white lighting compared to an amber cast, as it emphasizes the other worldly effect of the Sci Fi image. Great work on the fur of both the man-beast and beast. I especially like the relationship between the two; looking, searching the heavens for new adventures, or lost loves. The red accent on the planet is a wonderful design element as it leads the eye and gives the viewer something yet to ponder of the mysteries of the ways of the Universe.
