Description

Do you remember... ...when you were afraid to go into the basement? When you had to go down there, you heard stranges noises and were afraid of the shadows? As Halloween approaches, I am always a little bit nervous down in my 100 year old basement. I try to avoid it if at all possible, but tonight... I heard a sound and I was home all alone. I took a flashlight as the lighting is poor down there and went down the creaky, old wooden stairs. There is that sound again! It almost sounds like a baby crying somewhere off in a dark corner. Shivering, I walked through the basement and then I saw something!! A dark silhouette against the basement window! The light from the yard next door was behind something that was crouching there right outside the dusty old pane of glass! I couldn't make out what it was but I ran back up the stairs and grabbed my camera. hehe When the flash went off....there it was! Still partly in silhouette, I found what was making that eerie, crying sound!! And it was looking right at me with glowing eyes!! EEEEKS!!! Oh whew...it's just my silly cat, Bill! lol Happy Halloween to you all and beware of those basement windows!! ;-) (((Hugs))) and I hope you get lots of treats and not tricked like my cat tricked me! :-)

Great photo and write up. Ever consider writing a book? You certainly have a flair for the written word and then you could illustrate it with your photos.... just a thought. Blade thinks that Bill is "hot looking" but I explained that it was due to the flah from your camera. LOL. Great Halloween photo. V

My brave, brave daughter..going down a dark old basement by yourself...where's your boyfriend?? It could have been one of those evil goblin fairies that like to hang out in basements.. You need to be more careful...LOL...love your story and the work you put into your picture..It's great ..
