Description

My rendition of Hadrian's Wall. Pictured above is one of two turrets built along the 73 mile stretch of wall to demarcate the end of civilization and the beginning of the Barbarian world. Imagine the barbarians travelling south and seeing a wall that stretched as far as the eye could see. A psychologically daunting symbol of power I would imagine.

You never...never...never...fail to amaze me! L The detail is incredible...from the people on the ground to the soldier at the very top of the turret! The depth perception is awesome...and the construction of the wall...I can just go on and on. You really captured one piece of history here, Dec! ;)

The building of the wall also marked the beginning of Roman Civilization's stagnation. When the empire ceased to expand, it started to implode. Ve4ry nice picture though, you have every right to be proud.
