Description

"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." --John Lennon

Again, I give you a photo with very little postwork. I will let you read into it what you will. There are two photos here actually, at a ratio of about 10% for one and 90% for the other. As some of you may have noticed, I've been away from the galleries for about 8 days. Last week, Hurricane Wilma passed right over my area and left millions floundering without electricity. My house made it through with just minor damage, though my garden needs some serious attention. I decided to "get out of Dodge" as it were and brought my family to my in-law's house about 130 miles away. The journey there was somewhat surreal, as if an army of giants had wandered across the area, snapping trees, flattening crops, ripping off roofs, toppling power lines and generally causing as much mayhem as possible. As a result of the hurricane, I did not get to take the Halloween photos that I had planned, so the ones I posted earlier in the month will have to suffice. Have a Happy Halloween (if you celebrate it) and my sincere appreciation goes out to those of you who inquired about my welfare after the storm came through. The goes double for Joe (L8RDAZE) who somehow managed to track down my work # and got a call to me through someone from my office. Thanks everyone! ----- And thanks for stopping by and for your stellar comments on my last photo, They Met At The Spaceport.

This one has to be my favorite. I love the colors and the little bubbles and the curved lines of it. That sun is a nice addition as well. Beautiful work Kort! :)

Looks like oil in water with some various surounding colors 90% and the sun 10%...Welcome back...I knew you'd be alright..my son lives in W Palm and got about the same damage as you. Haven't had a hurricane yet here in Santa Fe...LOL..

So glad to hear you are ok Kort! The weather has sure been scarey in 2005. Hurricanes sound like a freight train coming through your house...at least that is what my brother says who lives in W Palm also. This is an awesome capture...I love the colors and clarity of that bubble. You picked a perfect name for it too!!
