Description

Summer is here again, time to hit the outdoor cafe's and restaurants again in search of cool breezes and sunshine. Time to engage in my favourite urban sport. People-watching. Necessary equipment/requirements to participate: Cool drink. I prefer iced coffee, myself. Cameras. Not too many. You don't want to look like the paparazzi. Something with a zoom lens is good though. Patience. 'Nuff said. A keen eye. Watch. Let the eyes rove. Be aware of every movement, nuance, gesture. Quick reflexes, a quick trigger finger and steady hands. And you're set. Make a game of trying to read body language and guessing what is going on with the person in question. My buddy, Chris, and I are old hands at this game, though he acts more as my spotter than the photographer. Never leave home without your camera. You never know what is waiting out there for you to capture.

Don't remind me... I'm not a fan of heat, seeing as I grew up in a very very very warm and humid province of South Africa... Quite happy with my nice cool breezes and 25 degrees C, thank you very much.

Intersting shot - a cool pilsener would in my opinion have made a better prop.
