One question: Is terrain avoidance used?

-One question: Is terrain avoidance used? Not. And that's good. When cloud layer intersect the landscape, you cleanly see what the cloud itself is. If cloud is volumetric, you see a mountain nicely going through the cloud, casting the shadows onto the cloud, etc. as in real world. If cloud is non-volumetric thin semitransparent sheet, and this sheet intersects something, you see that it is semitransparent sheet. And it's usually not what you want, so the terrain avoidance is used to hide the problem. Volumetrics simply don't have tnis problem in first place. (it is indeed technically possible to do terrain or isosurface avoidance for volumetric clouds; but there is no need to)

Another question : very impressive, but will the final released version have plenty of presets to choose from for us 'artists, as opposed to function graph 'techies' Also, re-iterating 'Hillrunners' comment : WHEN ?

That huge cloud structure is awesome. Super lighting in the canyons too!
