Description

i was in kamchatka in summer 2004. thats like the most eastern point in russia, its about an hour or two from japan. basically they have about 10m of show every year, huge storms, those things in the picture are volcanos, and they are expecting some earthquakes. the city isnt big, maybe 300k people. but whats awesome is that they have everything over there... huge mountaints (peak at 5000m) right at the pacific ocean, wicked thermal waters and all that kind of stuff which makes ur body better. heh.. just wanted to share this. i believe it to be one of the most beautiful places that i have been to. thx. max ps. im not a pro photographer, just sometimes get a chance to make some nice photos.

Wow, that's quite a vista on a remote spot in this world! Fantastic work although the contrasts seem a bit flattened out. Splendid capture!

thats a really nice image. i've been to the west of russia but youve just given me a good reason to travel to the east as well. only problem is the 7day train journey from Moscow.
