Description

LAst night my family went to a fall havest festival .There was a little Indian girl in full gard dressed up running around that caught my eye. She had something special about her= a sort of charisma and charm!..,.she was only around 6 years old!..., and she didn't seem to mind at all when I asked her and her parents if I could shoot her. When it got to the shooting part boy did she ham it up..!!..So this was taken around 9 pm last night . There was Good music there too!~ A great band - (got pics of the guitar player I like ) was playing, and the santa Anna winds were kicking in and stars were out . Such a nice evening -perfect weather around 70 degrees .The kids brought home loads of candi. TOO much-aughh I am doing my best to not eat it today ( but it is hard !!LOL! ) And when I got home - was suprised to find this shot!.. I did allot of postwork on it today to soften it and give it an old fashion feel and then made the frame on this.. In the shot , I had cut off the leg and feet so THAT part lol is all my art taken from the dress and feathers... hope you like it! Thanks for all your time and comments..!love you all Big hugs!, ♥ ~Kimmers :O)

I'm glad that the parents didn't become alarmed when you asked to shoot the little girl. I imagine that still has more than one meaning to native Americans. ;-) Wow! such a cool shot and POV. V

Awesome job in this! I love the lighting and the expression on her face! I remember Santa Ana Winds, that is cool. It was kind of nice this year up here, last year was painfully cold! My grandkids appreciated the milder weather that is for sure! 8-)

a very striking young lady, excellent contrast ;].. this has a very painterly look to it, ecspecially in her face.. i suppose adding the foreshortened legs & feet is what also gives her an illustrated look

Kimmers, this is a very stunning portrait of the Indian girl! Every bit of postwork you have done on this is well worth the effort. Opportunities such as these to take really good candid shots rarely happen. I am so glad you garbbed it when it came your way. Love those eyes and the tone of her skin. Postwork is excellent, so is the frame!
