Description
This is an untextured version of the Mars Base project I started a while back. I comped in a Terragen render just to make it interesting before I start texturing. I'm close to being done with the modeling aspect of this scene. I will add stairs going up to the airlock and some other little details. The rest will be captured with textures. Stay tuned.

cool idea but the model looks too mesh smoothed (no hard edges)

Looks much like the Mars base design that is actually being considered. Might I assume the equipment outside is intended to convert the martian atmosphere to water and oxygen? Love the design so far. Look forward to seeing it finished. I'll be starting my first real C4D project soon.

bazze, I'll be fine tuning the objects in the final stages of modeling. Many of the hard edges will stand out more when the textures are added and the lighting finalized. One must be careful, hard edges are worn down in real world situations; which must be considered when modeling in 3D. Thanks, RJC. And you're right, that external apparatus is intended for oxygen supply. Good eye. :)

Looking good so far. Can't wait to see it textured. Should prove interesting.

It is difficult to figure out the scale of this machine. I suppose it is a sort of compression chamber but can be an oxigen filter or a merge of both. I would love to see it finished.

Cool design.

vbarreto, the shape on the left side of the Mars Base is the airlock. When it's done you will have a sense of scale. Almost there.
