Description

This is my first space scene for a very long time. Still need to add some details and to model the shuttles (getting out the ship). this scene is 65Mb, saving and loading time about 15secs, render time 13mn. Expept a few details, the entire ship is made with 8 bryce terrains, modeled by importing some home made elevations maps (painted with photoshop) There is no bump map and the texture used is a "flat white". Enjoy!

Heavy duty stuff!! - like the light arrangement. Did u use radials? (and if so how many?).

Kinda reminds me of the scene in Spaceballs where the flagship keeps going, and going, and going, so you get a sense of the scale it has...

Having read through the explanation of how this was done (in the Bryce forum) I am just full of admiration - the technique is awsome! Truly excellent work

I like it so far. If you added a nebula cloud effect in purple or blue, and dulled down the stars a bit in the background, you could add a bit of colour. As a starting point though, this is really nice work.

Looks Sorta Like the underside of the star destroyer in Star wars, with the pincers and all.

I'm amazed. The mat works beautifully with the lighting and terrains to create a very metallic look. Superb work **

Superb! I admire your terrain work in this; quite impressive indeed. What really makes this image for me is the lighting. Everything pops!
