Description

Harp and wings modeled in Zbrush, with Micheal 3 from Poser. I'm not happy with the overall look of this image, but I decided to post it anyways so maybe you guys can perhaps give my some ideas? A change of terrain? Or sky and light? Just let me know, cause I'm rather happy with the way the harp turned out and I don't want this model to go to waste. :) Have a great weekend and take care! i think this is very interesting work ,the harp is magnificent ,but at first i had trouble making out the figure against the harp.maybe it is the angle and rotating the view would distinguish him from the harp. possibly using a different material for the man would make him stand out more.still it is fascinating work.

James, thanks a lot for your comment, I experimented with different materials for the harp and the figure, and I just couldn't find the right match. Perhaps a different angle - like you said - would do the trick. I'm gonna work on it tomorrow, since I'm too tired right now. :) Thanks again!

I see the harp and man as one,it is symbolic. This is a really bold image Sabra,I wouldnt change a thing, maybe a bit of volumetric light? But otherwise this is beautiful.Nice work.

I agree with Samhain74 on this one. It is a terrific image, but the lighting definitely seems like the only thing I could imagine improving. The figure blending so well into the harp is a very cool effect - speaks so much louder this way (in my mind, anyway). Not seeing a specific boundary between figure and harp adds to the overall impact of this image. This exact image, presented in some more dramatic lighting would be nearly overwhelming ! A fantastic image that I look forward to seeing you develop!

I like the way that the man & the harp appear to be carved from the same piece of rock - it adds to the effect. I'd definitely do something with the lighting though - it seems a bit "sharp" at the moment. Also, is that a shadow from the statue's cloak on the far range of hills on the right? Look forward to seeing how the image develops!

WOW...this is an incredibly powerful and extaordinary work. How wonderfully unique. I really love this image. You have taken creativity to its max. Fantastic harp....merged with the statue like character. This image speaks volumnes. I am extremely impressed. Not sure why you arent happy with it....it is superb work.
