I figured I should put sometime up for my bio. Between work and all my other projects/activities, I haven't spent enough time on Renderosity...
Anyway, my background in programming/psychology/ergonomics doesn't provide enough creative expression for me. I had wanted to be a writer (SF/Fantasy) for years (though I realized that I would never be an Orson Scott Card or a Joss Whedon) and love the art here on Renderosity (thought I'm not artistically talented enough to shine in this arena), but finally decided that cartooning (playing with ideas more than words or images) was more my thing. Some of those SF/Fantasy stories I may turn into a comic strip (or graphic novel).

Funny, but a load of horse crap. No different for the Demoncrats......

This is somewhat funny stuff but you posted it in way too huge of a size, and to be honest I don't think it's funny enough for you to get away with such simple graphics. Maybe try adding a little bit more dramatic flair to it (the eye joke are funny because there sitting back there).

Gee, I wonder if Mark Rich has ever had this type of experience.

Actually, I liked the minimalist nature of the work, takes me back to all those ASCII things that were done in the begining of computer graphics. as for the message..... what do you want when all you have to work with is a two party system where everybody plays the same way/

The important things are: to say what you feel and do what you want, knowing that in so doing, some will approve and others will disapprove. On either side of any argument or discussion those of both sides feel that they are right. Good luck!

wizardtim (It has been said) always supports the Bush camp, regardless of facts. And his comment on your art is interesting, coming from somone who hasn't a single post to his name. As to my opinion, I love the message and the humor! The art, though simplistic, is sufficient to make your point. Just because someone may not have artistic skills, should not prevent them from expressing their ideas! Well done!

This is so true. All this crooked and corrupt administration basically ever does is lie, steal, cheat, commit other illegal acts, screw everything up with their complete ineptitude, and then cover their rear ends so they never have to take responsibility for anything.

Thanks for the encouragement people! I have a 3D comic I have also been posting here, but I've deliberately kept that one suitable for children (e.g. non-brutal). This comic I have deliberately kept minimalist (kind of like how the South Park TV cartoon is simplistic in "art") in part so that the most salient thing is the message and the humor.

I find it funny for the reason that it is a typical partisan attack which ignores the problems of the host's party in favor of being the "insta-pundit". Having worked for the government under many an administration I can tell you this is the way it is in both parties, and if you don't think so, then you need to take the glass pipe out of your mouth and cash a reality check. But obviously that is lost on most of the bandwagoners here because few have made any statements of real difference, they merely have echoed the voice of the designer of this piece in what appears a flaccid attempt to be louder. One educated soul had the courage to mention Mark Rich. I wonder how many of you strident Democrats even know who he is? Even if you did, would you be honest enough to upbraid his and Clinton's lies, thefts, cheats, and other illegal acts or like this discussion mostly shows just be hypocrites and only bang the drum when its the other guy? I think the silence has given me my answer.

You have a point that all politicians of both parties are corrupt. I may be biased against this administration; so perhaps I should focus on comics about the 2 things that make me see this as the worst administration: 1) Their attempt to make torture publicly acceptable and 2) the bill this administration passed about not paying people for overtime (though perhaps the second item is comparable to the Marc Rich scandal which involved Clinton pardoning a rich criminal). On the topic of a more balanced view of the two parties; I have just finished a comic about that at: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1090046&Start=1&Artist=edhoover&ByArtist=Yes By the way, it is interesting that you ended your comment with: "I think the silence has given me my answer." before you knew if there would be silence after your comment...
