Yup...you guessed it...im always here! Like a superhero ready to act upon every new upload, LOL. Whats up with that particular "paprika" (dont know how to spell to the english word for it...and dictionary is too far away..sigh)? It looks mighty strange, like someone squeezed it too hard. 140...is that cheap? Bla bla bla...Have a wonderful day Rozanne!!!!! #:O)

These are sweet bell peppers, yes? If the price is 1.4 euros per kilo, that would be half the price in USA markets. Or is the price for aubergine? Nice capture of color and fresh sheen on the peppers --- Dick

No peseta's anymore, else they would have been far cheaper than now! :) Beautiful capture, Rozanne!

A very nice shot, Rozanne. I can just about feel the sunlight and taste the pepper. It reminds me of the open air markets in the Costa del Sol. Last year, when I visited Spain for the first time, I was amazed at the prices. I liked all the fresh vegetable, fruit and fish in Fuengirola. Similar quality in Glasgow would bankrupt me. With the Euro worth about 70p sterling at that time, I could pick nick-nacks and art materials, very cheaply e.g. 50c or 35p. These were for items which I could have bought at home very cheaply ( ??!!! ) for 1, in the POUND SHOP. Buying them in the high street shop in Scotland could cost, on one item, up to 7.50, but generally between 3 and 4. Folk in the Euro zone have complained about the hike in prices. Well try living in grand old rip-off Britain. I have heard American tourists complain over the years, but it was not till I went abroad for the first time that I could see what they were complaining about. We have had horrendous oil prices ( due to Government tax levels ) for thirty years, long before the present artifical crisis, despite all the oil off the coast of Scotland. It almost makes one want independence for Scotland ( and at least 10% of the oil revenues off the Scottish coast ). While they are at it I am sure we can return to Westminster all their rotting, obsolete, nuclear submarines which they have parked up in Rosyth. End of Rant. Bet you did not think that some peppers could have led to all this, Rozanne. Apologies and regards, John.
