Oh Erik, This is wonderful! Talk about hidden talent! Man! You have a real ability to use words in such a way that it sets a mood for the reader, at least for me. This is a cool story! Her problem was resolved in a short time and in a rather dramatic way. Having been raised in that kind of an environment as a child, I have to say, I love the way this ended! Love this story! Interesting synopsis. The loss of a young woman's father figure (patriarch) is the time honored device to set the heroine on her story in capital "R" Romance fiction.
