Description

There is a small graveyard behind our place, with graves in it from 1734 to 1850. The township does a fair job with upkeep, and its a nice place to sit and think. General Sir Henry Clinton camped here on his way from Philadelphia to New York (with 20,000 British soldiers), encountering George Washington in Freehold (about 15-20 miles away) for the Battle of Monmouth, June 28, 1778.
