You know, at first the bit of leaf on the left, and a similar composition on Vanity IV, bothered me as being a bad crop. But after spending some time looking at this I think that what you have really done here is push the compositional elements to an extreme that does work. If one squints their eyes and looks at this, it is seen to be balanced with an unusual, and very neat, tension. [The Squint Test Rule LOL]. Well done indeed.
