I can see a some fluvial erosion in the valleys either side of the peak, was that done in Carrara or was it already a part of the terrain? I played around a bit with the terrain editor but saw no option for fluvial erosion - so I use Worldmachine and export as a 32 bit RAW file, a process that produces lots of detail and control over the landscape. However you did it, the effect is most convincing and adds a nice touch of realism to the scene.

I'm also curious as to how you did this, cause it looks amazing!

this is GeoControls (the software I am delevoping) fluvial erosion. I took only a little bit and a flowmap type which only makes white the most deep parts, and so it is subtil but gives the final realistic touch. But I think, here the whole surface is a bit to noisy. Most important for me with fluvial erosion is the flowmap.

Looks great! I'm not any expert in geology, but is it OK that on the left side of the image (vertically in the middle) the fluvial erosion seems to go through a bump? Isn't it supposed to follow the path determined by gravity, where water can flow down from the mountain? As I said, the image is great, but as you write a software, you may want to correct the algorithm if I'm right ...

Another generous effort that is paying off. Terrain is one the best computer forms so far. This gives it one more place to play.
