Description

Malcolm aka druidstorm, is a very talented artist, and a great member of this community. I find inspiration in his work, which reflects his outward expression of his inward journey. Hope you like it big guy! Duality: There can be no definition in our language, without an anti-definition It is impossible to define something in a vacuum. All that we see or seem is defined in duality. There can be no light, without dark, no good without evil no up without down. But there is more to it than that.... We are ourselves, each of us, a quirky mix of both.. masculine and feminine good and evil strong and weak We fail, when we ignore the duality in ourselves or when we choose one, thinking the other does not exist. or by failing to recognize that they are not separate, but equal parts of the whole, the one....

Nice use of black and white on the image and the split person works well. I'm tempting to suggest moving the axis of the spinning wheel a little higher so that it's in line with the figure's navel instead of the mid hip, I think it might make for better composition. The words you included in this have some nice imagry as well.

Excellent concept. Quoting your words 'We fail, when we ignore the duality in ourselves or when we choose one, thinking the other does not exist. is ery true, but other people cannot understand when we have made the discovery in ourselves and they refuse to see or except it.
