Description
Solway Bridge - built in 1931, demolished in 1990's and replaced with a modern four-lane bridge. A necessary progressive step, but a loss of beautiful arches.

This is just an amazing piece of photography. Captivating... the two arches in the forefront almost look like glasses. It gives one not only the feeling of looking back through time through a pair glasses, but also as if time is looking back at you! Really phenominal! Michelle

Nowadays we can admire beautiful bridges, but the older ones are very impressive and beautiful too.

Hmmm, yes, prosperity has its price.... Fortunately there are cams to record beautiful architecture before the demolishers start! :)
