Sweet shot of a nicely turned out rod. I like the color combo.

A street rod that almost keeps the stock image but brightens it and rolls it on softer tires is a real joy. Yesterday I was looking a sleeve valve Willys-Knights for my 89 year old father. He kept saying they had a much quieter starter which he loved to sneak over to a neighbor's and listen to it start. The lore today says they had silent running but th starter was hard to turn over with the friction and weight of the sleeves and that is one reason they are gone now. How will Itell him of this different attitude. He sticks by his story. After all he cut his teeth on T's and A's.
