Description

Thanks to all of you for a very warm welcome to Renderosity. Here's another strange image. I liked the shape and gave it a rock-like texture and well it just progressed from there. It was a really complicated image taking 49 layers to complete. There is also a night-time version of this including the moon reflecting on the sea with the tide further out. (will upload to gallery too) Both images were created using only UF. It's amazing what you can do with it. Missie

Missie, I saw this on your site, and was like "Oh yeah, sure, this is a FRACTAL, and she did it with UF?!" LOL! I would absolutely love a full explanation of the process of this one, though I can't imagine using 49 layers! That alone just blows my mind, trying to think of it! Most excellent work, and an amazing show of what UF can be used to do, not to mention your talent in using it!

Hehe Michelle I probalby would have said the same had I seen this on someone elses site. I was pretty amazed too what UF could do. Clouds, rocks, water, trees anything. I got a bit excited and carried away with all the layers and couldn't stop. Thanks to you all for the comments.

Wow, this is so cool! I also couldn't have imagined doing 49 layers on UF. Usually my images are 1-3 layers! This is a striking realism that totally thrills me. Reminds me of photos I took in Phra Nang, Krabi, Thailand!

This reminds me of the grottoes I entered while touring Halong Bay, Vietnam, a few years ago.
