Description

Believe it or not but we..the Dutch.. don't walk on wooden shoes anymore. And there is more than tulips in the Netherlands. And.. I know this will disappoint you :-)).. we do not live in windmills.. well, not all of us at least. So how come such icons as tulips, wooden shoes, Gouda cheese and windmills are so strongly associated to our country.. Well.. the truth is that there are many reasons and one of them certainly is that we like you to believe that our country is nothing more than that.. just a very romantic way of looking at our country.. to make you want visiting our country. In order to make you believe that I also live in a windmill, I will post this black one.. If you have a close look to it, you will see me waving from behind the windmill.. :-)) BTW: this photo has been added to the 7-13 November Top 40 Gallery (2005)

I have never seen one of these famous windmills in person, but this is getting close! What a beautiful scene. I see Nature has blessed this picture with idealic fluffy clouds that look like a painting. Who could ask for more? (Lee Lewis, Cahokia, IL, US).

Is it true that you all eat gouda cheese everyday?? Is it true that you all smoke cannabis?? Is is true that you should have made a rotation of 2 degres on the right to this image??

you captured a beautiful windmill and the clouds are playful and amazing to look at! I would like to live in one! but what when Don Cichote is coming and fighting against it by night? also do we german want to be "Hollder" and then we wear wooden shoes before we eat "Sauerkraut" every day! LOL
