What can I say... I've been working with the lights on this one for a whole day... trying to get the screen to display in front of her face... just don't understand enough about Poser lights I guess... Thanks for looking.... Quest tomorrow.... Deane

This is a fantastic scene! And the lighting is spot on. About the holographic display - you could try to kill the diffuse and max out both ambient and translucence settings (masked by the transmap), and spice up things a little with a Gather node on the parts you want to have illuminated by the nav screen. On the other hand, this "dead" screen makes for an awesome eerie mood, like they're exploring an old abandoned spaceship. Very well thought out composition and masterful choice of POV. Excellent work!

This has got to be one of your best sci fi renders to date. Love that texture on the main character, where'd ya get it? As far as the screen goes, instead of messing with the lights, see if you can adjust the ambient value of the screen itself and make it glow on it's own.

I agree with Forevernyt, this is outstanding! I love the effects on the robot, giving her a holagram-type persona!

Nobody understand enough about 3d lighting, not even the program creators themselves!! Lighting is quite unpredictable and is usually for me the single hardest part to do in a picture - move one light a single degree, and everything goes awful!! I must confess i didn't understand which kind of effect you were going for, but i can say that your lighting looks quite good to me, and the scene is very moody and beautiful!!
