Great work........ love the scene, the character has personality and is definately intriguing..... Mosquito is great, sense of movement is poor but as this is leading to an animation that is no problem.... an all round excellent piece of work.... the only criticism I have is that the window does not suit the scene in my mind... it looks far too modern to fit the scene........ Looking forward to the animation.......

Looks great man... i'd like to see the animation, which is a whole artform on itself, as you probably know through pain and suffering... so good luck. One thing though, maybe you could try lighting up the pace a bit, especially for animation. Weird thing about animation is that you dont have time to wonder of into dark places and dream into the depths under the table and things. Animation focusses more on the person in that room, because he's the one alive - instead of the room being the biggest character. Dark is ok - great, even - but maybe a little brighter, less contrasty. I'm afraid it will kill you animation work. Maybe instead of a DARK shadow, try for a COLORED shadow (dark-blue-purple). This will give depth and mood, but without the hassle of blackness... dunno man, this is what my thinking says... anyway, great job on this pic and may the Pixar be with you on your periless yourney ;)

It was hard to find the mosquito at first. I like this sort of lighting. However, in most users concept it would be rather some dark. Good luck with the rigging and actions.
