Description

Zooming in on Sion you can see the vineyards there with their typical roads and separations. And you can see the castle, or do I need to zoom even more? Nah, that would be boring, though? The modern apartment buildings are contrasting with the older buildings on the hills, and digging a little in the history of this city I see it has become an Episcopal see back in 585 (yep, more than 14 centuries back)! It was an important strategic location to the Simplon Pass. Enjoy your Sunday! it's GORGEOUS, Jan-Carel!!! is that the castle on the right on top of that one little mountain? Colors are beautiful! the mountain almost casts a purplish/pinkish hue. Is that the way the colors really look? It's fabulous!! excellent shooting!

It's really amazing that they can build and farm on the steep sides of these mountains! A wonderful, crisp view :)
