Wow, this is amazing, so much detail, is it box modelled? Only question is, after all your effort with the character, why didn't you just smoothen out the sides of the circle top? unless it's supposed to be like that. Excellent work!

You use SubDivision Surface or nurbs?, why there'isn't a background? otherwise the model of this character is more than good,By MgraFx

This is a cool render, some water in the bowl might look good. Not sure if you want to wait 9 hours again though. You can see the model for yourself if you have Max 4, it's in the folder Scenes, new features, polygon object. It's a nice model.

Actially i didnt do the character, its on the max CD. i just used it because its a cool char. I was goinf to make the cylinder a little smoother, but i didnt notice it until it showed up on the render...and by then it had allready been rendering for 5 hrs :( so adding nice looking water too would add an extra 2 hrs rendering...i dont think ill wait that long. And i found out that i can get pretty much the same result without brazil, and 9 hrs less render time... :D ill post that one too.

Like a dude told me, its like showing you my new sport car, and you make comments on the garage... its the model that matters not background :D the modell was just plain gray from the start, the grain is just a annoying part of brazil...but in this sceen. it looks real good.

Model isn't yours, grain is from Brazil. So what in this scene is yours? That bowl? Very nice :) So rating is for the bowl.

Wow, this looks very grainy for radiosity. NINE hours!!??? You can fake the same affect in Lightwave using Area Lights in about 5 minutes. My (WIP) Dirty Jeep pic took only 9 minutes with full texturing. So are you going to texture it?

artquantic, you're to much! wheeez, you realy make my day!...:) no realy, your car realy looks like a photo, never thought i would misstake a image for a photo, but yours did! i saw the wireframe, and now i know, you are damn good. Actually the grain come from the HDRI lighting, brazil makes grain when U use HDRI or object based light, sux!

standard model that comes with max and a the thing on that he stands has not enough polygones. mhm really, by the comments you made and votings you give i have thought i see some really asskicking stuff in your gallery, but im wrong. :) 4 points for brazil and the bowl.

It looks good for being plain gray models, but 4 suggests it looks quite uggly...do you think this looks quite uggly? i think you have seen worse :), and i didnt vote these ppl did :) and i think it looks nice, though i have seen lots of woks that are better, and i only wanted to show HDRI lighting, not the model or the thing he stands on, and how slow brazil is at rendering it:)

HeHe. Do you remind me? I told you this will happen if you put those comments and ratings... Whatever, nice render and HDRI lighting.

lol. :) why blame BRAZIL when you obviously dont know how to use it? first you should create your own models and then you should try to learn how to light a scene and after that you can try other renderer like brazil. a high-end rendere will bring you no benefit when you have no clue how to use its power. i really see no reason to put models that come with MAX in a artis galery!
