Description
Caves at Minnetonka in Idaho.
This was fun it was 90F degrees out side and 40F degrees inside with a breeze. Got to try some low light photography, had to remove some noise( AKA graininess) with photoshop. Hope you like this. Please post comments to let me know if you like it or how to improve it.

Calcite????? were you on a guided tour??? or on you own?? Inside mother earth is a whole other world full of gems and minerals!!! Excellent image. Seems like the flash made it toooo shiny for me, I would have painstakingly taken off all those white dots in postwork. IMHO!!! ;)Thanks for sharing this cool image!!! ;)

Gorgeous capture of these calcite growings, must have taken centuries to form them with sizes as big as these! :)

This was a guided tour about 350 to 450 ft depth. I think the formations were Lime, Calcite and a bit of iron for color.Took the wife and kids, had great time. Really slick and slimey in there.

I often see the power of water in waterfalls, raging rivers, even floods. Amazing to see it build and create art, though.

Honey, the first time I ever went into a cave was last year up in Virginia. Good Lord! At one point when our guide got us down to the deepest part, he turned off the lights. (Of course he asked us if it'd be alright.) I have to say... I don't know how people way back when did it. I would have gone mad in a matter of hours. Got me a little unnerved in those few minutes alone. So now that I've written this book..... I love this photo because this is exactly what I saw down in the deep dark recesses of earth. Beautiful.

I've heard the expression "bowels of the earth". Now I've seen 'em. I didn't know they let you take pictures on the cave tours. It's kind of creepy.
